Kristoffer Wøien
CONDUCTOR
Kristoffer grew up with a childhood dream of becoming a musician. He studied classical trumpet performance in Tromsø, Norway, and moved to Oslo for persuing his conducting studies in 2020, where he was soon accepted in Dirigentforum. In 2023 he was fortunate enough to be accepted into Zürcher Hochschule der Künste in Switzerland as an exchange student, with Prof. Christoph Mathias Mueller and Prof. Johannes Schlaefli.
During masterclasses in Norway, Kristoffer has conducted many professional ensembles, including The Norwegian Radio Orchestra (KORK), Stavanger Symphony Orchestra and Trondheim Symphony Orchestra. in 2023 he conductin Nordic Beat during Festspillene i Bergen, performing pieces by Steve Reich and Iannis Xenakis.
In 2024 Kristoffer had his exam concert with The Norwegian Radio Orchestra (KORK). He has also previously conducted many of the professional wind bands in Norway, in addition to a recording of Norwegian music for the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation. Kristoffer has assisted the Operahøgskolens production of G. Rossini’s "Elisabetta Regina d'Inghilterra" in the Opera House of Oslo.

Inspired by the landscapes of Iași, Romania, and Oslo, Norway, the project redefines the concept of international artistic collaboration through an interdisciplinary approach combining painting and music.
